( Editors note- Here’s another excellent article written by a good friend and fellow Patriot, Michael Beddingfield. Well worth the read..)
If you want to see a riot, just go out in any public place and yell “HEALTHCARE”! God be with you! I think the healthcare debacle over the last several weeks has left us in an absolute state of rage. I guess our anger comes from expecting, yet again, swamp creatures to act like something other than the swamp creatures they are. I thought I would share a few thoughts about the swamp that may help you understand how the swamp actually works and designate a few of the more noteworthy creatures. Being Southerners, by God’s grace, we have all grown up with an intellectual advantage over our Northern counterparts because we have swamps everywhere. We have all had our stories to tell in our close calls with the creatures that live in these stagnant aquatic environments.
There are different types of swamps based on how they were formed. I think the beaver formed swamp has particular relevance in Washington, DC. Several comparisons between swamp dwellers and politicians are painfully obvious, exceptional camouflage, stealth, and cunning nature. The recent healthcare debacle is just the latest example of how the swamp works and I would like to examine a few of the facts you may not know about these creatures.
The true worker bees of the swamp are the “BEAVERS”, also known as “DEMOCRATS and “RINO’S”. They literally damn the place up so water flow is restricted and the resulting stagnation becomes a primary feeding ground of everything in the once dry land. Numerous animal species come to feed in the swamp from raccoons and ducks to water moccasins and copperheads. In this sense, all of the “party affiliations and factions” are well represented from “cotton mouth” party bosses and “copperhead Senators” to innocent “fish voters” trapped in the swamp like ourselves.
I’m sure most good people were stunned when Senator John McCain arrogantly walked into the Senate chamber and literally gave a dramatic “thumbs down” to the attempt to repeal healthcare. It was almost like he was giving us the finger. Guess what? He was! We’re on the menu! Even back in 2009, (Washington Post), John McCain took in a sizzling 546 thousand from the healthcare lobby. Number two that year was Mitch McConnell at just a measly 425 thousand! That was just one year before the passage of Obamacare. And we couldn’t see this coming? The majority of establishment Republicans drafted the bills behind closed doors and then only supported status quo amendments. They clearly lied to the voters who elected them to repeal this law. These Republicans clearly supported big and intrusive government just like their Democrat counterparts. McCain was just giving RINO’S cover to say they supported repeal but they secretly were fighting all attempts at repeal. I would not be surprised to learn one day that McCain and McConnell personally showed the Democrats how to get the law through the “budget Reconciliation Procedure” in 2010 to avoid having to have 60 votes that they didn’t have.
Swamps operate on team work and so does politics. Beavers build it and the rest of the swamp creatures protect, control, and feed on it. This year, Democrat Charles Schumer (Newsweek 2017) raked in a staggering 719 thousand dollars in contributions from the healthcare lobby. Believe it or not, that was just Schumer’s initial take. He also harvested an additional 510 thousand from healthcare providers. This might explain why your hospital bills are so high and still climbing. I find it comical that healthcare providers such as hospitals complain about rising costs but fail to tell you that it is because of the protection money they pay to Senators like Schumer! Not to be outdone, Lisa Murkowski from Alaska has taken in north of fifteen million in her short career in the Senate from healthcare and everyone else we need protection from. Susan Collins of Maine, a virtual idiot of Republicans, has raked in a meager 6 million over her brief career. Get the picture? This process is pay to play and perfectly legal because as voters we have allowed it. The Senate runs itself!
According to (Pharmaceuticals / Health Products: Money in Congress 2016), the Democrats took in 12.3 million and the Republicans took in 15.5 million in 2016. According to (Map Light), the small group of Senators who worked on the healthcare repeal bill received 214,000 each in contributions on average from the “K Street” lobbyists, a virtual bed of mating “cotton mouths” who actually wrote the bill for them. Four of these Senators received 300,000 plus each. Does this enlighten you to how teamwork occurs in the swamp?
So why was John McCain the one to give us the finger with Senators Murkowski and Collins as “back up” insurance? He didn’t get the call name “MAVERICK” by chance. First of all, these three reptilians are wealthy Republicans on salary from with the K – Street lobbyists. At various times each of these reptilians poses as different swamp creatures. As political “prostitutes”, Collins, Murkowski, and McCain would be akin to “Dollar Store Red Tag Specials” on a late Sunday evening. McCain was chosen because someone had to give the other cottonmouths and copperheads cover of big government liberal progressivism; vulnerable Republican copperheads needed to be able to say they tried to repeal, all lies. McCain had already been paid, and rather handsomely at that. He was happy to take one for his fellow reptiles! Secondly, McCain has an insatiable ego and needs to be the one that shows aggression to keep his image alive; Napoleon would have saluted him! Thirdly, he will face absolutely no repercussions from this vote. He is not likely to survive his current term and was known not to be considering a furtherance of his career at his age even before his diagnosis of brain cancer. It is noteworthy to mention that it was Lt. John McCain, a navy pilot and son of an Admiral, that was involved in the [USS Forrestal CVA 59] fire that killed 134 sailors during the Vietnam War, as well as, having to get pardoned by President Richard Nixon for allegedly cooperating with the enemy. To this day, there are still arguments and other conflicts regarding the historical facts and conclusions about these incidents.
Even as I share these facts and my analyses, I am overcome with nausea as I address these issues. Every time I see or hear John McCain, I remember close friends who served with honor and returned with the scars of battle. To me, John McCain is a “sanctimonious little prick”, a “favored Son”, a “Paragon of Arrogance”. It makes me livid to know of women who faced cancer and who were told their Obamacare would not cover the recommended changes in chemotherapy because of misdiagnosis while knowing that McCain is exempt from Obamacare. Senator John McCain is a “COTTON MOUTH”!
The simple fact is that under Obamacare, the health insurance industry doubled their profits to 15 billion dollars. $15,000,000 dollars! Let that sink in! Please remember that when your doctor tells you that your insurance will not cover your medical treatment because it is considered “unnecessary”. Remember that when you pay for insurance that you can’t use because there is no money left to even cover the deductibles, let alone to live on. Remember that Obamacare was supported by the AARP, the American Medical Association, and basically every healthcare insurance company and hospital group in America.
My final opinion on this debacle is rather simple. As voters and citizen activists, we are often caught up in single issue activism and single issue voting. The simple fact is that most politicians love single issue voters and activists for simple and obvious reasons. They will sell out or surrender to you on a given single issue because that was not their racket to exploit; they had another target you weren’t looking at or aware of. Politicians are very comfortable at avoiding issues you are not aware of or simply lying if discovered. They also cover one vote with another vote that cancels or opposes it. These practices are well known swamp maneuvers and allow these reptiles to tell their voters how tough they fought; really!
On a local level over the last several years, our North Alabama area has been rocked by several debacles like the police jurisdiction / taxation scam, and the polluted drinking water debacle. The majority of activists fighting these issues were targeting the Decatur City Council and the offending industries respectively. While that was going on, the real culprits that built both swamps, the legislative delegation, skated by without a scratch. They have connections to all of the relevant players in both debacles and beyond. This reference is simply to point out that beaver swamps generally work the same regardless of where they exist.
The epilog to all this is very simple. The city captured revenue from people who have absolutely no voting rights in the matter and the local politicians will be running for re-election on funds laundered from those taxes. Local politicians will also enjoy city funds being donated and contributed to their latest “SWAMP PROJECT”. All is well in the swamp! The same process is also true for the water debacle. The same people who engineered the tax scam are responsible for the water debacle. Some company ends up paying some token amount that wouldn’t even cover the insurance deductibles for treatment of associated health problems resulting from one year of this mayhem. After the settlements, the companies will continue their political contributions to the same legislators and yet new swamps are being planned in the back rooms even as you read.
So after the fog clears from these national and local debacles, I predict we will end up right where we started; we will have yet another debacle in front of us to focus on and the system that produces debacles will skate to their next swamp. Swamp life is a true team effort for survival! The only “SWAMPERS” not surviving this mess is us because, like the fish we are, our vision is too narrow, divided, and near sighted. That’s my opinions and thoughts on the matter! What say you? I’d like to hear from you.
